What is it? Kinesiology ( pronounced Kin-easy-ology) comes from the Greek word ‘kinesis’ and means motion. It is simply the study of muscles and the movement of the body in response to a stimulus. It is a well established, natural health care system that uses gentle muscle testing to evaluate many functions of the body. It does not diagnose disease nor does it test strength. You could have biceps like steel but if your energy is flagging, then your muscles will not perform at their optimum capacity.
What happens?
A muscle test simply detects and analyses any imbalances in your system. You remain clothed while you have several muscles checked to see where the imbalances are. Once the assessment is complete light massage is applied to clear any blockages and bring about relief from your symptoms. The whole procedure is known as ‘having a balance’ and is usually carried out with the client lying, fully clothed, on a couch.
Because how you feel affects the health of your body and the level of illness affects how you feel, kinesiology may be helpful to deal with physical, mental and emotional challenges.

Educational Kinesiology means maximising a person’s full brain potential using movement. It is a series of simple, fun, energising activities that re-educates the way our brain works.
How does it work? Learning blocks result from the inability to move through the stress and uncertainty of any new leaning. These blocks can be released through simple movements, allowing us to access our true potential and bring back the joy of learning. The process is designed to reduce or dissolve our learning blocks, draw out our gifts and talents and promote whole brain learning, which allows us to attain new levels of achievement in any area.
School phobia, struggling student, underachievement have you or your child been labelled – dyslexic, dyspraxic etc. Does your child struggle with reading, writing, balance, sport? Is your child being bullied? Or maybe they are just not doing well or they find school stressful. Lynn has taught in many types of school and so she knows the pressures that teachers face. There are many different ways to learn and maybe your child is not receiving the information in a way that makes any sense to them, through no fault of the teachers involved. Lynn has taught thousands of students and so she has dealt with a great variety of difficulties and challenges. She very quickly assesses learning styles, gives useful, simple and effective techniques that can easily fit into your busy lifestyle. Techniques which bring about successful results in a stress-free, fun way, no matter whether the student is 8, 18 or 80!! |
